Inside or outside
Which side of the glass
Lettering can go on the outside face of the glass or on the inside, reading through it. Inside-applied graphics stay out of the weather and away from ice scrapers, so they usually last longer. Outside-applied graphics look crisper up close and read better on tinted or reflective glass. Your quote says which side and why.
Most window films need the glass above a minimum temperature to stick properly. In a Chicago winter that means applying from the inside when possible, or picking a milder day for outside work.

How to measure a window
Rough numbers are fine. Every job is measured in person before anything is printed.
- Measure the glass only, inside the frame: width, then height, in inches.
- If the window is split into panes, measure each pane.
- Take a straight-on photo from the sidewalk, and one of the front door.
- Note anything in the way, like security gates, stickers or old lettering.

How long does window lettering last?
It depends on the film and how much direct sun the glass gets. Good cast vinyl on a storefront typically lasts several years, while printed graphics fade sooner in strong sun. Your quote names the film being used.
Can you match my logo colors?
Cut vinyl comes in a wide range of stock colors, and printed vinyl can match a logo more closely. Send your logo file and you’ll hear which one fits.
Will it come off cleanly later?
Yes. Vinyl comes off glass with gentle heat and a blade, and any adhesive left behind cleans off.
Do you design the lettering?
Simple layouts with your logo, business name, hours and phone number are included. Larger design work is quoted separately so you know the cost up front.
