Why cast vinyl

Built for Chicago streets

Vehicles flex, get washed, and sit through sun, salt and snow. Vehicle lettering uses cast vinyl, which holds its shape over curves and body lines better than cheaper film.

Lettering goes on clean paint in good condition. Rust, peeling clear coat or a fresh paint job should be sorted out first, because vinyl can pull loose paint off when it’s removed later.

What to send

Photos do most of the work here, so no tape measure needed for a first quote.

  • Year, make and model of each vehicle.
  • A straight-on photo of each side you want lettered, plus the rear.
  • What it should say: name, services, phone, website, any required numbers.
  • Your logo file, and how many vehicles need the same layout.

Before you ask

Vehicle lettering questions

Will it damage my paint?

On factory paint in good condition, lettering comes off cleanly with heat. Repainted or damaged paint can lift when vinyl is removed, so mention any bodywork.

When can I wash the vehicle?

Give the lettering a few days to settle first. After that, hand washing is gentler than brush car washes, and avoid aiming a pressure washer at the edges.

How long does it take?

Most lettering jobs are installed in a few hours, once the graphics are printed. Evening and weekend installs keep the vehicle on the road during the day.

Can you letter a leased vehicle?

Usually, because lettering comes off factory paint cleanly. Check your lease terms first.
