Frosted or one-way?
Which privacy film to pick
Frosted film blocks the view both ways, day and night. Mirrored “one-way” film only works while it’s brighter outside than inside. At night, with the lights on, it turns see-through from the street. For real privacy, frosted film is usually the better choice.
Decorative frosted film is for privacy, not heat or security. If you need solar or safety film, mention it in your request and you’ll get a straight answer on whether it’s something we can help with.

How to measure glass
Rough numbers are fine. Every job is measured in person before anything is printed.
- Measure each pane of glass separately, width and height in inches.
- Say whether you want full frost, a band, or a logo in the frost.
- For a band, note how high off the floor it should start and stop.
- Take a photo of the glass from inside the room and from outside it.
Before you ask
Privacy film questions
Can it come off when our lease ends?
Yes. Frosted film peels off glass and the adhesive cleans up, which is why tenants use it instead of etching or replacing glass.
Does frosted film make the room darker?
A little, but it still lets most daylight through. Bands and patterns keep even more of the glass clear.
Can you frost glass in a working office?
Yes. Installs can happen evenings and weekends, so meetings and patients aren’t interrupted.
How do I clean it?
Use a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive glass cleaner. Skip scrapers and scrub pads on the film.
